Types of Matrices
A square matrix has the same number of rows as columns (for example, 2 × 2 or 3 × 3). A rectangular matrix has a different number of rows and columns. Other special types include the row matrix (1 row), the column matrix (1 column), and the zero matrix (every element is zero).
