About MathsFamily

About MathsFamily - Helping Families Build Confidence in Maths

MathsFamily.com was created with one goal: to give parents, guardians, and teachers a free, reliable place to help learners build real confidence in mathematics from the first steps with counting and addition through to algebra, geometry, and beyond.

We know that maths can feel intimidating, both for young students learning it and for the seniors trying to help them with it. That's why every resource on this site is written to explain the "why" behind a concept, not just the steps - using clear examples, step-by-step worked problems, and practice exercises that build understanding rather than memorization.

What We Stand For

Everything on MathsFamily is designed around three principles:

Clarity first. Every topic - from basic addition to algebraic expressions - is broken down into plain-language explanations before any exercises are introduced.

Practice that builds confidence. Our quizzes and worksheets are structured so learners can track progress step by step, with resources organized by topic and difficulty.

Safety for families. MathsFamily is built for use under parental or guardian supervision. We don't require children to create accounts, we don't collect personal information from kids, and we've designed the site to comply with COPPA and GDPR-K from the ground up - details are in our Privacy Policy.

MathsFamily is free to use because we believe every family should have access to good maths resources, regardless of budget. The site is supported by advertising and continues to grow, with new topics, quizzes, and tools added regularly.

If you have feedback, a topic you'd like to see covered, or questions about how the site works, we'd love to hear from you - reach out anytime via our Contact page.
